Throughout the summer\, the library will host weekly themed events featuring story time and family-friendly activities. United Through Reading will provide a book prize to each registered Summer Reading Program participant who meets their reading reward goals. In addition\, United Through Reading will host a Story Station during the weekly events from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM\, where service members and family members can record themselves reading a children’s book for a special child in their life. Participants will receive a recording of their story along with their book\, creating a meaningful way for military families to stay connected through reading. This event is sponsored by United Through Reading in support of the Throckmorton Library Summer Reading Program. The appearance of external organizations does not constitute endorsement by the Department of Defense or the U.S. Army.
