Volunteering with United Through Reading is a great way for service members, military spouses, youth, and civilians to enhance their experiences, resumes, and job applications. We’ve invited Laura Torres, Blue Star Families’ Director of Workforce Innovation Programs, to discuss courses and certifications available for UTR volunteers to help them expand their soft and hard skills and grow professionally.
We’ll also have Hiring Our Heroes Military Spouse Fellowships Senior Program Manager Tracy Steele join us to share how she works with military spouses to prepare them and pair them with potential jobs. She’ll also touch on Hiring Our Heroes’ Amplify, an intensive career preparation, professional development, and networking program.
