On behalf of Blue Star Families Tennessee Chapter, I would like to inquire about the availability of your Mobile Story Station for our upcoming Blue Star Welcome Week Family Fun Day on September 26, 2026 in Clarksville, Tennessee. This event takes place on the last Saturday of September annually.
Blue Star Welcome Week is a nationwide initiative that celebrates military families who are PCSing into new communities while helping them build connections and feel welcomed. Our Family Fun Day will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. We expect approximately 300 plus military-connected family members from the Fort Campbell and the surrounding communities to attend.
The event will feature community resource booths, family engagement activities, and opportunities for families to connect with one another. Planned activities include a foam party, face painting, balloon twisting, sports and field games, and other family-friendly experiences.
We believe the Mobile Story Station would be a wonderful addition to the event, providing military children and families with a meaningful opportunity to connect through literacy and storytelling while highlighting the important mission of United Through Reading.
We would love to discuss partnering with you and learn more about any requirements, availability, or support needed to bring the Mobile Story Station to our event.
Additionally, If we could request copies of the Military Story Book of the year to gift each family that would be a great addition to our Welcome Resource Bags for attendees.
Thank you for considering this request. We appreciate all that United Through Reading does to strengthen military family connections through the power of reading.
