United Through Reading was honored to be included in the inaugural Birdies for the Brave Military Appreciation Gala and Golf Event at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, FL on November 30-December 1, 2012.

The fundraising event, hosted by Birdies for the Brave founder Phil Mickelson and his wife, Amy, was a two-day Pro-Am, gala dinner and benefit concert. Headlining a long list of those participating in the two-day event were former U.S. President Bill Clinton and 18-time major winner Jack Nicklaus.
As one of the nine home front charities supported by Birdies for the Brave, United Through Reading representatives were on site to welcome guests, thanks sponsors and lend support to an outstanding celebration of the PGA’s commitment to military members and their families. We are deeply grateful to the PGA and Birdies for the Brave, Phil and Amy Mickelson, the generous event sponsors and guests whose support honored our nation’s heroes.
