United Through Reading is proud to support the Summer Reading Program at Throckmorton Library by helping encourage a love of reading among military families. Throughout the summer, the library will host weekly themed events featuring story time and family-friendly activities. United Through Reading will provide a book prize to each registered Summer Reading Program participant who meets their reading reward goals. In addition, United Through Reading will host a Story Station during the weekly events from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, where service members and family members can record themselves reading a children’s book for a special child in their life. Participants will receive a recording of their story along with their book, creating a meaningful way for military families to stay connected through reading. This event is sponsored by United Through Reading in support of the Throckmorton Library Summer Reading Program.
