United Through Reading is proud to partner with many amazing organizations that work with our military community. Join UTR’s Director of Special Programs, Penney Letrud-Samons, NMFA’s Director of Military Family Programs, Becca Garrison, and HOPE’s Strategic Alliance Director, Jordan Huffman, as they share more about their organizations and what they do for our service members and their families. Tune in to learn more about some of their upcoming events, including Operation Purple Camp and the Warrior Games, and how our programs work together to benefit our military.
Since 1969, the National Military Family Association (NMFA) has worked with families to identify and solve the unique challenges of military life through advocacy, research, and programs. NMFA’s programs serve families with Military Spouse Scholarships, military teen programs including Bloom, and Operation Purple programs in person at Operation Purple Camp and virtually with Operation Purple Summer Challenge.
Hope For The Warriors (HOPE) is a national leader driving transformative change for the post-9/11 U.S. military community (including veterans and active-duty service members as well as military caregivers, spouses and family members, and families of the fallen). At HOPE, our mission is to deliver unparalleled services that uplift individuals and their families as they navigate the complexities of military life. We are committed to fostering resilience and a sense of purpose, ensuring that those who have served our nation will thrive. Together, we forge a strong community that champions courage, commitment, and grit. To learn more or support our mission, visit HopeForTheWarriors.org.
