United Through Reading’s Fall Road Show is underway on the East Coast!
The Mobile Story StationEast will be on the road for a week and a half traveling throughout Virginia. We’ll be visiting military families at nine events throughout the state.
The journey is designed for United Through Reading to connect with military families and veterans while spreading the word about our free program. The Mobile Story Station allows service members to sit back, relax with a book, and make video recordings of themselves reading for their loved ones.
Here’s a rundown of our plans:
Thursday, October 13 – USS Gunston Hall homecoming event
Friday, October 14 – Hampton Roads ASYMCA
Saturday, October 15 – Hampton Roads ASYMCA
Monday, October 17 – Naval Station Norfolk private event
Tuesday, October 18 – Hampton Roads ASYMCA
Wednesday, October 19 – USCG Base Portsmouth
Thursday, October 20 – Naval Station Norfolk private event
Friday, October 21 – USCG Base Portsmouth Fall Carnival & Trunk or Treating.
Saturday, October 22 – Hampton Roads Area MFAN event (registration required)
United Through Reading’s newest Mobile Story Station was unveiled in May at Union Station in Washington, D.C., during our Tribute to Military Families, in partnership with BAE Systems.
