Meet our 2024 Reading Trackers

January 11, 2024

For 34 years, United Through Reading has championed literacy and connection in military families. For 2024, we have launched three FREE printable reading trackers to ignite your family’s love of reading and encourage reading as a daily habit.

Tracker #1: This is for budding bibliophiles. Children will color in the spine for each completed book. Encourage them to fill in the book spines with their favorite color palettes or match the color of the book they just finished. Once the shelf is filled, they will have a colorful, visual representation of their reading achievement.

Tracker #2: We didn’t want reading to feel like homework, so we kept this one simple. This tracker is ideal for elementary-aged students. It requires only the date, title, and star rating for each book that they complete.

Tracker #3: For older children who are starting to get into creative journaling, we put together a document that allows space for them to write down their favorite quotes, note their favorite characters, and a space to draw or affix a book cover sticker.

The benefits of tracking reading are a sense of accomplishment, accountability, and a way for every family member to incorporate reading into their day. Reading together is more than just tallies and stars. It’s about immersive worlds, igniting imaginations, and making memories. United Through Reading’s reading trackers are guides, inviting families to lose themselves in new worlds, share laughter, and discover the magic of stories together. If you’re in need of suggestions to get started, browse the hundreds of titles on our book list!

Happy reading!
