Literacy is at the heart of United Through Reading’s mission. We have always valued the early literacy education of military children through the read-aloud experience.
In support of International Literacy Day today, September 8, United Through Reading is releasing a literacy focused white paper — Nurturing Literacy Skills for Children in Military Families through the Read-Aloud Experience. This paper explores childhood literacy issues, including struggles specific to military children, and the benefits of the read-aloud experience.
