United Through Reading is excited to launch our 2022 Summer Reading App Challenge. The incentive challenges military children to “Read Beyond the Beaten Path” this summer and win prizes based on their efforts. Prizes will be rewarded for 5, 15, 25, 35, and a grand prize for the most recordings!
This summer, we are focused on ways to Read Beyond the Beaten Path, including fun stories about all kinds of summer adventures – from camping to outer space.
Throughout the summertime incentive, military kids will have several ways to earn extra credit towards prizes on social media. Keep an eye out for posts to share your favorite summer read, a cool STEM project you created, a place Beyond the Beaten Path you like to read, and more! Share your photos and incorporate the hashtag #IreadwithUTR!
The challenge coincides with United Through Reading’s sponsorship of the Summer Reading Program at MWR libraries serving all military branches.
All you have to do to get started is download the United Through Reading app at utr.org/app and start making recordings of your favorite books. The incentive begins June 15, 2022, and ends August 31, 2022.
Participants will be contacted via email after the incentive to provide an address for prizes to be shipped.
