UTR offers several ways for service members and military families to record stories in person, from Story Stations on installations around the world to mobile and pop-up recording opportunities. Story Stations are secure, equipped recording spaces where military service members can video-record themselves reading a story to send to their children in their lives.

1. Find A Story Station Near You
UTR has over 65 Story Stations located at military installations and at partner locations across the United States and around the world, including Italy, Japan, South Korea, Romania, Singapore, and Bahrain. Use our interactive map or browse the full list to find a station near you. Since hours and availability may vary, be sure to check the location details before you visit.
2. Visit Our Mobile Story Station
Did you know that UTR brings storytime directly to military communities? Our Mobile Story Stations (MSSs) are UTR vans that travel throughout San Diego and the East Coast, visiting installations and community events along the way. Each MSS features a library of children’s books and a mobile recording studio, where service members can choose a book and record a special story for a child they love.
3. Find Us at Special Events
