Read Beyond the Beaten Path this Summer

United Through Reading is excited to serve military families stationed around the world with a summer reading program available at MWR libraries serving all branches of the military. 

Read Beyond the Beaten Path,” will launch June 1, 2022, in 182 libraries worldwide, including 32 states and 44 OCONUS locations. 

Military children participating in the program can visit their local MWR library to choose a free book, a reusable tote bag, and information about United Through Reading’s mobile reading app. United Through Reading will distribute over 18,000 engaging and exciting books to MWR libraries at Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps libraries and will include popular titles carefully curated to support the summer reading program theme. Lunch Lady #4: Lunch Lady and the Summer Camp Shakedown by Jarrett J. Krosoczka. 

Little Shaq by Shaquille O’Neal

Hiking Day by Anne Rockwell

The Iliad: A Graphic Novel Adaptation by Gareth Hinds

The 2022 summer reading program will be the first time United Through Reading will serve MWR libraries from all service branches. Thanks to United Through Reading’s successful sponsorship last summer with Army MWR libraries, they will now support service members and military-connected children worldwide. Military children around the world will find their way to “Read Beyond the Beaten Path” with United Through Reading and DoD MWR libraries.  To register for summer reading at the nearest MWR library here.
