Read for the Record 2020
October 8, 2020
United Through Reading joined Read for the Record with Jumpstart on October 29 to reach 4,000 military families . Their 15th annual Read for the Record is a high-visibility annual fall campaign engaging over 2 million participants reading the same book on the same day.
Jumpstart recognized United Through Reading with their Bringing the Story to Life Award this year for our video, produced with Ameriforce Media. This award goes to the celebration that best exemplifies the themes from Evelyn Del Rey Is Moving Away, including connection, friendship, and encountering change. We are honored to receive this award this year and thank everyone for helping military kids receive this amazing book.
Watch the video below:
Evelyn Del Rey Is Moving Away written by award-winning author Meg Medina and illustrated by Sonia Sanchez is a celebration of lasting friendship, the power of connection, and encountering change. Evelyn Del Rey Is Moving Away is published by Candlewick Press.
We are thrilled to partner with Jumpstart to bring Evelyn Del Rey is Moving Away by Meg Medina to military families around the world.
