Scott Stallings Aligns With United Through Reading

October 7, 2020

United Through Reading, an official Birdies for the Brave Homefront Group, is honored to have PGA TOUR golf professional, Scott Stallings and his family represent their nonprofit organization. With United Through Reading, service members are always home for storytime. Since 1989, they have connected military families through video recorded storytime from around the world. Now, thanks to their free and secure reading app, military and veteran families can read together every day.

“We are thrilled that Scott Stallings will be representing United Through Reading as our Birdies for the Brave Player Supporter. A father himself, Scott understands how important and meaningful storytime is for every family, and his support will be invaluable in helping our military families stay connected,” said Dr. Sally Ann Zoll, CEO of United Through Reading.

United Through Reading keeps military families reading together, no matter the distance between them. Families stay connected through video recordings of storytime and books, sent to military families to help ease the stress of separation, maintain positive emotional connections, and cultivate a love of reading and early childhood literacy. Service members can record a story for their family at more than 200 United Through Reading recording locations worldwide, as well as on their mobile device with our free and secure reading App. Since 1989, more than 2.4 million military members and their families have benefited from the program. About Birdies for the Brave

A joint effort by PGA TOUR, Inc., PGA TOUR Charities, Inc. and the TPC Network, Birdies for the Brave is a national military outreach initiative dedicated to honoring and showing appreciation to the courageous men and women of our U.S. Armed Forces and their families. Birdies for the Brave was originally created in 2004 by PGA TOUR player Phil Mickelson and his wife, Amy, in collaboration with Glenn Cohen, to raise funds for combat-injured troops. Thanks to their vision and the passionate support of PGA TOUR players, tournament fans, volunteers, TPC club members and corporate sponsors, Birdies for the Brave has grown exponentially across the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions and Web.com Tour and raised more than $19 million for military homefront groups that provide critical programs and services to meet the specialized needs of wounded heroes and military families.
