As a Programs team member, Chrystal is United Through Reading’s Area Program Manager for Southern California. She works with commands and local military support groups, increases awareness of United Through Reading and the importance of the read-aloud experience for the entire military family, and coordinates recording opportunities.
Chrystal is a 16-year Navy spouse, a mother of two adult children, and a grandmother. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Disorders. She is currently volunteering as an Ombudsman with her husband’s Helicopter Squadron. When she is not working, she enjoys baking bread, learning to crochet, and always has a book close at hand.
