Rancho Santa Fe, California, October 12, 2020

The Tea 3 Foundation (www.tea3foundation.org) will host a Covid 19-compliant fundraising event on October 27, 2020 at Nick & G’s in Rancho Santa Fe to welcome United Through Reading as a strategic partner.

Funds raised by Tea 3 throughout the month of October, culminating at this event, will support United Through Reading’s participation in Camp Pendleton’s Marine Corps Community Services Halloween Event on October 30th, where United Through Reading will promote their award-winning Read-aloud Storytime program for resident Marine Corps families. Each child with a goodie-bag and program collateral to be shared with their parents. The first 200 children will receive a free book for use with the United Through Reading App.

“The Tea 3 Foundation welcomes the opportunity to become a partner in United Through Reading’s impactful programs that unite military families facing physical separation by facilitating the bonding experience of reading aloud,” stated Sandra den Ujil, president of the Board of Directors of the foundation. “Our military families have sacrificed so much for our nation, through multiple moves, schools, and combat tours. Having the opportunity to be video-recorded reading books for their children  to maintain a family reading routine  while deployed on duty far away from home, has far reaching  benefits to the children’s development.”

“We are excited about this opportunity to connect directly with so many Camp Pendleton families in one evening, and so appreciate the funding support from the Tea 3 Foundation for this event,” stated Dr. Sally Ann Zoll, United Through Reading Chief Executive Officer. “We hope that this will be a fruitful partnership as the missions of the two organizations converge.”
