Distance is a part of military life, but it doesn’t have to mean missing out on storytime. United Through Reading connects military families through shared storytime. Using our app, service members and Veterans send video recorded stories to the important children in their lives for an on demand storytime. Our Mobile Story Station allows us to offer an onsite recording site for local community events and the freedom to travel to events and military installations in other towns and states. Chrystal Lewis, Southern California Area Program Manager, and Mandy Disney, Washington DC Area Program Manager, will host June’s Ask the Staff: Mobile Story Station (MSS) on the Move and share their favorite stories from the road. Hear about the places we’ve traveled and the destinations we hope to reach.
